چکیده
Presenter: Norberto Portillo Lopez MD | Universidad de la Frontera Background: Hydatidic disease corresponds to the parasitic infection caused by Echinococcus granulosus. At a global level it lacks epidemiological importance. However, in endemic sites, such as Chile, prevalence is 5 per 100,000 inhabitants, and Araucanía Region 48 inhabitants constituting public health problem. Surgery remains mainstay of treatment. Methods: case series with follow-up patients HHC, undergoing laparoscopic cystec-tomy (LC). Data analysis, through measures central tendency dispersion, performed Stata® 10 .0. Analyzing 4 variables followed-up abdominal computed tomography. A quality life survey “SF-36” was applied. Results: 12 were included, 58.3% female gender. Cysts number 2.02 ± 1.56, larg-est cystic volume 809.16 766.05 ml, larger cyst diameter 11,77 4,33 cm. Right hepatic lobe predominantly 58%. Surgical time, 234.16 52.95 minutes. Hospi-tal stay, 11.58 14.55 days. Morbidity 16.6%, no postoperative mortality. Fol-low-up, at 7.9 4.3 months, finding residual cavity 50%, recur-rences reported. comparing QL cholecistectomy group, we only found differences vitality ítem (p=0,04). Conclusion: The approach for HHC treatment, an acceptable surgery, morbidity mortality comparable reports laparotomy surgery.

متن کاملLaparoscopic management of hydatid cyst of liver.
We describe the laparoscopic excision of a hydatid cyst in the liver. During the procedure, done after treatment with the scolicidal agents praziquantel and albendazole, care was taken to prevent spillage of scolices during evacuation of contents and to excise the entire germinal epithelium. The patient had no immediate or short-term complications and is asymptomatic 3 months later.

Surgery remains the gold standard for the treatment of patients with echinococcosis, despite significant economic costs, advances in medical treatment and interventional radiology; in the past decades there has been a tendency toward laparoscopic surgery. We present a 66-year-old patient, from a rural area, who was admitted to our service complaining of spontaneous and palpatory pains in the ri...
